FS25 gets a practical free loader pack from Volvo
Free Farming Simulator content is always welcome, but its usefulness depends on whether the machinery has a clear purpose once it reaches the farm. The newly released Volvo L90 Pack adds two working wheel loaders and a matching bucket to Farming Simulator 25.
GIANTS Software released the pack through ModHub as part of FarmCon 2026. There is no real-world purchase price attached to the download, and both loaders become available through the game’s virtual dealership after installation.
Made for regular material-handling jobs
Wheel loaders are useful on farms that frequently move bulk materials around storage areas, animal facilities and production sites. The new pack gives players a choice between the Volvo L90H and the Volvo L90 Electric.
The L90H has 184 horsepower and costs $199,500. The electric version raises power slightly to 190 horsepower, but its in-game price increases to $279,500. Both loaders can travel at up to 45 kilometres per hour.
The included General Purpose Bucket holds 3,100 litres and costs $10,500. It gives players an official Volvo attachment to pair with either loader instead of relying on equipment from another brand.
Modding keeps simulation games active
Farming Simulator 25 has built a large part of its long-term appeal around community-made machinery, maps and tools. The same pattern can be seen in other simulation games, where players use projects such as inZOI Mods to add new content or change how the game looks and plays.
The Volvo L90 Pack comes directly from GIANTS Software, but it fits into the same wider culture of expanding a game beyond its original machinery list. For players who regularly install new equipment, a free official loader pack is an easy addition to an existing save.
Small download, wide platform support
The complete Volvo L90 Pack has a download size of 44.71 MB. It supports PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles and Nintendo Switch 2, so both computer and console players can use the new equipment.
This is not a large expansion filled with dozens of machines. It is a focused pack based on one loader family, two power options and one useful attachment. For farms that regularly handle loose materials, that may be more valuable than a much larger collection of rarely used equipment.
