FS25 Real Silage BETA
Real Silage introduces a system for compacting bunker silos in stages, covering them correctly and stopping silage from spoiling.
Features
- Compacting: Each bunker silo receives its own compaction map, recording the compaction level of every spot. Coloured crosses appear directly on the silage heap and indicate the current condition: Red = not compacted, Yellow = partly compacted, Green = fully compacted.
- Weight and silo roller: Vehicle weight and the use of a silo roller affect the compaction result. A heavy tractor with a roller requires fewer passes than a light vehicle.
- Markers: The coloured crosses are visible only during filling and only while the silo remains open.
- Covering: Depending on the bunker silo size, covering requires the matching number of silo sacks, one roll of silo foil and one roll of underlay foil. The shop provides all required materials:
- Silo sacks: Available on pallets.
- Silo foil: Available on pallets.
- Foil rack: Before a silo can be covered, the rack must be placed at the bunker silo and loaded with silo foil and underlay foil.
- Spoilage:
- Insufficient compaction: Areas with poor compaction may spoil beneath the cover. The risk increases as the compaction gets worse.
- Visible mould: Opening the bunker silo makes the mould visible on the silage heap.
- Spoiled silage: This is handled as a separate fill type. It can be collected with a shovel or fork and put into a manure spreader, where it turns into manure for your fields.
- This system replaces the game’s standard compaction mechanics.
- The console command
rsGridlets you turn the compaction markers on the heap on or off.
