FS25 Achzarit APC v1.0
The Achzarit is a heavily armored personnel carrier (APC) used by the Israel Defense Forces. It was developed by converting captured Soviet-made T-54 and T-55 tank hulls into personnel carriers.
Technical and Operational Characteristics
Origin and Design: The vehicle is the result of removing the original tank turret and significantly modifying the chassis to create a rear troop compartment. This conversion provides the vehicle with a high level of ballistic protection, far exceeding that of standard APCs.
Armor and Protection: Designed specifically for urban warfare and high-intensity conflicts, the Achzarit is considered one of the most heavily armored APCs in existence. Its armor is designed to withstand a wide range of anti-tank weapons.
Capacity and Utility: The vehicle is typically configured to transport a squad of infantry (usually up to 7 soldiers) in addition to its operating crew of 3. Its design includes a rear ramp to allow troops to dismount under cover.
Strategic Importance: The Achzarit was developed to overcome the vulnerabilities of lighter infantry fighting vehicles, allowing troops to move safely through combat zones that would be too dangerous for conventional armor.
