FS25 A-222 Bereg v1.0

The A-222 Bereg (Russian: Берег, meaning “Shore”) is a highly specialized 130mm coastal defense gun system developed by Russia.

Technical and Operational Overview
System Purpose: The A-222 is designed to engage surface targets, including small-to-medium-sized ships and fast attack craft, as well as ground targets within its range.
Mobility: The system is mounted on the MAZ-543M 8×8 wheeled chassis, providing significant off-road mobility and rapid deployment capabilities along coastal road networks.
Armament: It utilizes a 130mm naval gun adapted for ground-based coastal defense, which provides high-velocity fire capable of neutralizing naval threats before they can approach the shoreline.
Integrated Units: A standard battery consists of three main components: a Central Command and Control Vehicle (CPU), a Combat Vehicle (SPU), and a Transport-Loading Vehicle (TZA). This integration allows for autonomous target tracking and firing solutions.

Importance in Coastal Defense
Tactical Role: By providing a mobile, land-based artillery solution, the Bereg allows commanders to deny coastal access to enemy naval vessels without relying solely on fixed shore batteries or naval assets.
Response Speed: The system’s ability to quickly relocate makes it difficult for opposing naval forces to pre-map its positions, significantly increasing its survivability.
