FS25 Real Farm Ops Draft V1.0

In the base game, a ground-engaging implement always pulls back with the same fixed force while it is in the ground. Its speed and the soil conditions do not change that force. Real Farm Ops makes draft react to speed, soil water and compaction.

Features

  • Speed now influences draft according to the ASABE D497 draft equations used by farm engineers. At 11 km/h, a plough pulls about 1.5× as much as it does at 7 km/h, while a chisel increases more gently.
  • Soil water changes the load as well. Dry, hard ground creates the greatest pull, friable ground is easiest, and wet, sticky ground becomes harder again because soil clings to the steel. When installed, Mud System Physics supplies the field wetness.
  • Compaction changes draft through Visual Mud Tracks’ topsoil hardness and subsoil compaction. A plough pan adds load to the plough and subsoiler, while a hard crust adds load to cultivators and discs.
  • In wet crop, mowers, tedders and rakes also receive a small extra load because wet grass drags harder through a cutterbar or rake.
  • The mod changes only the force pulling the implement back. The game’s physics handle everything else, including engine load, fuel use, wheel slip and sink, and wear.
  • Works with Real Fuel Consumption, Mud System Physics and Advanced Damage System without patching any of them.
