FS25 Map Flood V1.1.0.0

MapFlood brings dynamic flooding to Farming Simulator 25. Heavy rain and melting snow raise water levels, while the terrain determines where water collects and which roads become flooded.

MapFlood is a BETA version that remains in development.

Features

  • When any map loads, MapFlood examines its terrain, works out drainage directions, and locates areas where water may collect.
  • With heavy rainfall and enough soil moisture, water gathers in depressions, valleys, and lower road sections. Snowmelt is included as well.
  • Flooding strength and the other available options can be set according to your playstyle.
  • With appropriate pumps, hoses, supported vehicles, and equipment, floodwater can be removed. This includes fire trucks, tank trailers, and any other equipment able to transport liquids.
  • Every fire truck is identified automatically, whether it comes from Giants’ official free Emergency DLC or from a mod. All fire trucks have a pump, as do all liquid containers, vehicles, and trailers.
  • Flood missions let you assist with flooding and receive money for completing the missions successfully.
  • As water rises, roads, fields, and low-lying areas may flood. Traffic is affected when the water becomes deep enough.
  • Once field soil moisture is above 70%, the related precipitation and meltwater may add to flooding.

Changelog

V1.1.0.0

Water calculations are considerably improved, with greater dynamism and increased realism. Version 1.1.0.0 thoroughly revises flooding, bodies of water, soil behavior, contracts, and settings.

Water & Flooding

  • Rivers, lakes, and ponds are now identified more precisely.
  • Clear water changes to floodwater without visible flickering at the transition.
  • Brown coloration appears in bodies of water only where real flooding is taking place.
  • When the soil is saturated and it rains, rivers and lakes can overflow their banks independently.
  • Shoreline rendering benefits from finer 2 cm increments.
  • Floating water surfaces and unintended flooding of neighboring areas no longer occur.
  • Excess water now drains in a more controlled way.

Soil & Weather

  • Water infiltration is influenced by soil cultivation, compaction, frost, saturation, and weather conditions.
  • Every save game has its own soil variations and moving rain cells.
  • Sunlight makes drying faster, whereas cloud cover makes it slower.
  • Plants have dynamic growth/duration periods, with an adjustable factor from x0.1 to x8.
  • New save games start with clear water.

Contract System

  • Dynamic contracts are switched on by default.
  • Eight contract providers may be available: Municipality, Local Authority, Mayor, Road Maintenance Department, Fire Department, Insurance Company, Water Management Association, and Neighbors.
  • Rewards and deadlines differ between providers.
  • Duplicate contracts are not created when the server starts.
  • Lockout/cooldown periods are saved.
  • Damaged fields or threatened buildings can trigger additional contracts.
  • Contract providers have unique faces.
  • Markers indicate the direction of visible water.
  • Expired contracts disappear immediately.

Settings

  • Additional road-level elevation can be set from +0.5 to +3 m.
  • General additional elevation can reach up to +15 m.
  • Rainfall intensity ranges from x0.5 to x5.
  • Contract types can be selected.
  • A mod-specific rain toggle is available, with on/off options.
  • Manual flood generation can be set from +1 to +15 m.
  • Flood intensities are Low: 0.5 m, Medium: 1.5 m, High: 3 m, Very high: 6 m.
  • Settings are saved and also applied to new savegames.

Pumps & Water Extraction

  • Pumping capacity now works with every water source.
  • Support is provided for “Pumps n’ Hoses,” firefighting equipment, and barrels.
  • Tanks may be emptied directly into rivers, lakes, and ponds.
  • Discharged “brown” (dirty) water visibly spreads through the body of water.

Performance & Compatibility

  • Support for 4x and 16x maps has been improved.
  • On 4x maps, a finer 4-meter grid is used.
  • Depressions, or low-lying areas, are distributed more effectively.
  • Dedicated servers are supported, without markers or menus.
  • Ferries respond correctly to floodwaters.
  • Flooding hides puddles created by other mods.
  • After teleportation, fast travel, or joining a multiplayer session late, the water display updates correctly.
  • The menu is more compact and its informational text has been improved.

BETA 2

  • Water in trailers, barrels, and tanks now has the appearance of floodwater (rice field water), remains exactly inside the container’s fill area, and sloshes during starting, braking, and turning without spilling over the edge.
  • By difficulty, pumping capacity is Very Hard 2,000 l, Hard 4,000 l, Medium 8,000 l, and Easy 16,000 l per game second for fire department/pumps. Tanks use 500 / 1,000 / 2,000 / 4,000 l/s.
  • Reverse pumping direction, Right Shift + Ö, can be freely rebound. Fire department vehicles and pumps provide unlimited water, while tanks release their water. The water collects in the next depression. Self-supplied water is not paid for when pumped out, and contract fields are excluded.
  • With Pumps n’ Hoses, water tanker, and mods, every intake from floodwater now lowers the water level. The game recognizes the floodwater through its water collision.
