FS25 Hydraulic Suspension System V2.0.2.1
Hydraulic front suspension is added to medium and large tractors that use this system in real life. This is a beta release, so testing is still ongoing, with particular attention being given to multiplayer.
Features
- The suspension is functional: over bumps and rocks, the wheels travel up and down, and the links, cylinders and shaft move with them. This gives the tractor a more stable and comfortable ride.
- Automatic levelling corrects the front height on its own within a few seconds after front weights or a heavy implement are attached.
- The mod supports John Deere ILS and TLS, Fendt, Claas PROACTIV, Terraglide (Case IH / New Holland / Steyr), MF Quadlink, Valtra, Deutz-Fahr and McCormick. The systems do not all react in the same way, with some being softer and others firmer.
- Four driving modes are available:
- AUTO, automatic levelling
- WORK, increased firmness during field work or when the front begins to bounce
- LOCKED, a stiff axle for front-loader use or heavy transport
- MANUAL, the front can be raised and lowered by the player, only on JD ILS and Fendt, as in real life
- The controls are:
Ctrl+Alt+U, change modeCtrl+Alt+↑ / ↓, raise or lower the front in manual mode- The control assignments can be changed in the control options.
- Only tractors that use this system in real life are supported: medium and large tractors from the brands listed above. Small tractors and crawlers remain unchanged.
- This is a beta version and testing continues, especially in multiplayer. The mod still requires more work but is playable. Further tweaks and fixes will follow user feedback and suggestions.
- When reporting a problem, send the
log.txtfile. For multiplayer issues, logs from both the host and the player who joined are required.
Changelog
- V2.0.2.1
- New: Every tractor model can now have its own manual suspension selection through Left Alt + U > Vehicle > “Suspension for this model”: Auto / Levelling / Pendulum / Original. The selection is saved for all vehicles of that model and takes effect immediately.
- New: The window > Settings now contains “Manual height on all tractors”. It provides manual height to systems that do not have it in real life, such as John Deere TLS. The option is disabled by default and labelled as not realistic.
- Fix: Tractors using their own vehicle type in the mod, such as converted John Deere 6M / 7M, now receive the suspension, window and keys correctly.
- Fix: On tractors with a front axle that is a separate physics part, the axle remains with the wheels while the chassis moves up and down. The suspension cylinders therefore extend and retract according to the height.
- Fix: Parts without mass in the XML no longer cause tractors to be handled as light tractors with a pendulum axle.
- V2.0.0.0
- The Suspension window opens with Left Alt + U. It shows the system, mode, height, front-loader stabiliser and live state, including axle load, weight on the front, cylinders, spring, damping and warnings, together with a side view of the axle. The settings and panel were moved from the game menu into this window.
- Trucks now receive rear air suspension with levelling, called ECAS, for up to 3 axles. Ride height remains unchanged whether the truck is empty or loaded. Manual height can be used at loading docks and while coupling, then the truck returns to ride height automatically above 30 km/h. 8×4 tippers and larger vehicles retain their leaf springs. This feature can be disabled.
- Levelling is limited to tractors that have it in real life and is determined by brand, weight and minimum power, with 120 hp as the default. Small or simple tractors receive a swinging pendulum front axle without suspension instead of the game’s soft suspension. Tracked tractors are not changed.
- Wheel loaders and telehandlers get Ride Control with boom suspension and an accumulator above 6 km/h. Below that speed, operation is rigid for precise work.
Ctrl + Uchanges between AUTO / OFF. - On tractors with a front loader, the load follows the arm-tip movement and floats with it. This can be enabled or disabled in the window.
- Damping becomes firmer on the road above 30 km/h. The update also includes self-levelling rear suspension for the JCB Fastrac and a hydraulic valve sound.
- Rigid front axles, including the one on the John Deere 7030, move and tilt as one complete piece.
- Independent suspension no longer shakes, including JD 8R ILS, and changing tractors no longer causes small hops.
- Panel warnings include “end stop” and “front too light – add ballast”, as well as the name of the tractor’s system. The panel may be turned off. It is hidden while the window is open and while Zasty HUD is active.
- Cars, combines and other vehicles are not changed. The shop category is checked.
- The keys are
Ctrl + Ufor the mode,Ctrl + Alt + Up / Downfor manual height while held, andAlt + Ufor the window. - Removed:
Ctrl + Alt + LandCtrl + Shift + U, since these functions are now available in the window. - Fix: a new installation now receives the default keys correctly.
- Default keys:
- Left Ctrl + U: Suspension mode, or Ride Control on wheel loaders
- Left Alt + U: Suspension window
- Left Ctrl + Left Alt + Up / Down arrow: Manual height while held
- These are the default keys. If the game or another mod already uses one, open Options > Controls and choose another key to prevent conflicts.
- V1.1.0.0
- This major update makes every machine behave almost like its real counterpart.
- For tractor classes, automatic levelling is used only on tractors that have it in real life. Small and simple tractors instead receive a pendulum front axle without suspension.
- Wheel loaders and telehandlers use Ride Control with boom suspension. Above 6 km/h, the load floats over bumps; below that speed, the arm remains rigid.
Ctrl+Alt+Uchanges AUTO / OFF, and a different key can also be assigned. - Front-loader damping follows the arm tip and ignores smooth hills. It has a separate switch,
Ctrl+Alt+L. - Road damping becomes firmer above 30 km/h.
- The JCB Fastrac receives a self-levelling rear axle.
- The HUD displays warnings for end stop and for a front that is too light, including the instruction to add ballast, together with the tractor’s system name.
- Levelling now produces a hydraulic valve sound.
- Operation is smoother: the JD 8R ILS no longer shakes, and switching tractors no longer creates hops.
- The controls menu contains new settings, available in all 25 languages.
- Tracked tractors remain unchanged.
