FS25 Hydraulic Suspension System V1.0.0.1
This mod adds hydraulic front suspension to medium and large tractors from brands that use this system in real life. The suspension moves over bumps and rocks, automatically levels when weights or implements are added, and includes several driving modes.
Features
- Working suspension: the wheel moves up and down over bumps and rocks, with the links, cylinders and shaft visibly moving.
- Automatic leveling: the front returns to the correct height by itself after adding front weights or a heavy implement.
- Brand-specific systems: John Deere ILS and TLS, Fendt, Claas PROACTIV, Terraglide (Case IH / New Holland / Steyr), MF Quadlink, Valtra, Deutz-Fahr and McCormick. Each system behaves differently, with some softer and some firmer.
- Driving modes:
- AUTO, levels by itself
- WORK, firmer when working in the field or when the front starts bouncing
- LOCKED, stiff axle for front loader work or heavy transport
- MANUAL, raise and lower the front yourself, only on JD ILS and Fendt, like in real life
- Only works on tractors that have this system in real life: medium and large tractors from the listed brands. Small tractors and crawlers stay as they are.
- Cab suspension for inside view, with the chassis bumps damped inside the cab. Slow slopes are still followed, and the suspension is firmer when LOCKED.
- Front loader arm damping, like the MX Shock Eliminator / LDS / ride control. With a front loader attached, above 6 km/h the arm floats using a simulated nitrogen accumulator, approximately 0.8 Hz with an empty tool and up to approximately 1.4 Hz with a heavy load, damped by the orifice. Below 6 km/h the arm returns exactly to the position set by the player.
- All texts are translated into the 25 game languages.
Controls
Ctrl+Alt+U, change modeCtrl+Alt+↑ / ↓, raise or lower the front in manual mode- Controls can be changed in the control options.
- Move the HUD with the mouse: press
Ctrl+Shift+U, drag, then use right click,EscorEnterto finish. The camera stays still while moving.
BETA VERSION: The mod is still being tested, especially in multiplayer. A lot of work needs to be done, but it is playable so far. Tweaks and fixes will be released based on user feedback and suggestions. If you find a problem, send the log.txt file. In multiplayer, the log from both the host and the player who joined is required.
Settings
- In-game settings menu:
Esc-> Settings -> General ->Hydraulic Suspension System. - Settings include brands, minimum weight, WORK mode draft, hold height when stopped, wheel camber, HUD, cab suspension, loader stabiliser and diagnostics.
- Settings are saved in
modSettingsand are kept when the mod is updated. - New icon HUD by default. Selecting
Textbrings back the old line. - Cylinder colours indicate the mode: green AUTO, orange WORK, blue MANUAL, and red with padlock LOCKED.
- The front wheel moves down or up with the cylinder height. The side bar shows the height, with the centre mark indicating levelled.
- Values shown include height, levelled or
+x.x cm, front axle load, and spring and damping of the current mode as a percentage of the game’s original values. - The tractor shop picture can be shown next to the icon and switched off. Three sizes are available.
Known
- Pendulum angle, ILS articulation travel, cab suspension and loader arm values are estimates because no published figures are available.
- All values can be tuned per system in
modSettings/FS25_HydraulicSuspensionSystem.xml. - The cab model itself does not move because the game has no separate cab part or it could not be found. The effect is on the inside view.
Changelog
- V1.0.0.1
Fixes:Behaviour:- Ride control is a bit smoother.
- For rigid front axles where both front wheels hang from the same axle, such as the John Deere 7030 Series, the whole axle now moves up and down and tilts with the wheels. Previously, the axle stayed still while the hubs moved on their own, reported by Cris669.
- Improved performance and reduced bouncing on rough ground, such as a ploughed field. The front wheels were rebuilt by the physics almost every frame. They are now rebuilt only when the axle moves 2 mm or more, at most every 100 ms.
- HUD textures are compressed, so there are no more “raw format” warnings in the log, reported by Patrik Vendelberger.
- Faster game start: the settings menu section is now built only the first time Settings is opened. Previously, it froze the start by approximately 4 s.
- The front loader line in the log no longer lists rear implements by mistake.
- Only the tractor driven by a player has hydraulic suspension. Parked tractors and AI helpers keep the game’s original suspension. When you leave the tractor or hire a helper, it returns to the original suspension.

It is firmer with the suspension LOCKED and can be switched off in the menu.
- Front loader arm damping, like the MX Shock Eliminator / LDS / ride control: with a front loader attached, above 6 km/h the arm floats. The load swings on a simulated nitrogen accumulator, approximately 0.8 Hz with an empty tool and up to approximately 1.4 Hz with a heavy load, damped by the orifice and driven by the tractor’s bumps. The game moves the arm, cylinders and tool with it. Below 6 km/h the arm is back exactly where it was placed for precise work. This is shown on the HUD and can be switched off in the menu.
