- The output from the combine is grain and grass hay.
- Alfalfa, like grass for seed, has two stages of maturity. The first is green for hay; in the next stage it can be harvested by a grain combine, similar to grass seed. The output from the combine is grain and alfalfa hay. It can also be harvested by a combine in a withered state.
- Rye has two stages of harvest. In spring, mow it for green hay or let it ripen and harvest it with a classic grain combine.
- Peas have two harvesting methods: a classic combine for green peas, or, for more realistic gameplay, the texture changes from green to ripe and they can be harvested with a grain combine.
