FS25 Hydraulic Suspension System V2.0.3.1

Hydraulic front suspension is added to medium and large tractors from the listed brands when those tractors use this system in real life. The mod also brings automatic leveling, several driving modes and controls for the suspension.

Beta version: Testing is still in progress, with multiplayer receiving particular attention. There is more work to complete, although the mod can already be played. Updates, adjustments and fixes will follow user feedback and suggestions. When you find an issue, please send your log.txt file. For multiplayer problems, the logs from both the host and the player who joined are required.

Features

  • The suspension responds to bumps and rocks. Wheels travel up and down, while the links, cylinders and shaft also move visibly. This makes the tractor more stable and comfortable.
  • Automatic leveling returns the front to its correct height on its own a few seconds after front weights or a heavy implement are attached.
  • Separate systems are provided for John Deere ILS and TLS, Fendt, Claas PROACTIV, Terraglide (Case IH / New Holland / Steyr), MF Quadlink, Valtra, Deutz-Fahr and McCormick. Their behavior is not identical, since some systems are softer and others are firmer.
  • Driving modes are available:
    • AUTO, the level is adjusted automatically
    • WORK, the suspension becomes firmer during field work or when the front begins to bounce
    • LOCKED, a stiff axle for front loader work or heavy transport
    • MANUAL, the front can be raised and lowered manually, only on JD ILS and Fendt, like in real life
  • Controls include:
    • Ctrl+Alt+U, switch the mode
    • Ctrl+Alt+↑ / ↓, raise or lower the front while using manual mode
    • The controls can be changed in the control options.
  • The system only applies to tractors that have it in real life, namely medium and large tractors from the listed brands. Small tractors and crawlers remain unchanged.

Changelog

  • V2.0.3.1
Realistic physics mod compatibility has been added.
  • V2.0.2.1
    New:Fixes:
    • Each tractor model can now have its own manual suspension choice through Left Alt + U > Vehicle > “Suspension for this model”: Auto / Levelling / Pendulum / Original. The selected choice is saved for every vehicle of that model and takes effect immediately.
    • The window > Settings now contains “Manual height on all tractors”. It gives manual height to systems that do not have it in real life, for example John Deere TLS. It is off by default and marked as not realistic.
    • Vehicles with their own vehicle type in the mod, for example converted John Deere 6M / 7M, now receive suspension, the window and the keys.
    • When a tractor has its front axle as a separate physics part, the axle remains on the wheels while the chassis moves up and down. The suspension cylinders therefore extend and retract with the height.
    • Parts without mass in the XML no longer cause tractors to be treated as light tractors with a pendulum axle.
  • V2.0.0.0
    • Left Alt + U opens the suspension window. It shows the system, mode, height, front-loader stabiliser and live state, including axle load, weight on the front, cylinders, spring, damping and warnings, together with a side view of the axle. The settings and panel were moved from the game menu into this window.
    • Trucks now have rear air suspension with levelling (ECAS), supporting up to 3 axles. The ride height stays the same when empty or loaded, manual height is available for loading docks and coupling, and the system returns automatically to ride height above 30 km/h. 8×4 tippers and bigger retain their leaf springs. The feature can be switched off.
    • Levelling is used only on tractors that have it in real life, according to brand, weight and minimum power, with a default of 120 hp. Small / simple tractors receive a swinging pendulum front axle without suspension instead of the game’s soft suspension. Tracked tractors are left alone.
    • Wheel loaders and telehandlers receive Ride Control, using boom suspension and an accumulator above 6 km/h and rigid suspension below 6 km/h for precise work. Ctrl + U changes between AUTO / OFF.
    • On tractors with a front loader, the load floats with the movement of the arm tip. This can be switched on or off in the window.
    • Damping becomes firmer on the road above 30 km/h.
    • The rear suspension of the JCB Fastrac now levels itself.
    • A sound for the hydraulic valve has been added.
    • Rigid front axles, for example John Deere 7030, move and tilt as one piece.
    • Independent suspension no longer shakes, including JD 8R ILS, and switching tractors no longer causes little hops.
    • Panel warnings now include “end stop” and “front too light – add ballast”, as well as the name of the tractor’s system. The panel can be disabled, and it is hidden while the window is open and when Zasty HUD is active.
    • Cars, combines and other vehicles remain unchanged. The shop category is checked.
    • The keys are Ctrl + U for the mode, Ctrl + Alt + Up / Down for manual height while held, and Alt + U for the window.
    • Removed: Ctrl + Alt + L and Ctrl + Shift + U, now available in the window.
    • Fix: default keys were not assigned on a new installation.
    • Default keys:These are the default keys. If one of them is already used by the game or by another mod, go to Options > Controls and set the key you prefer to avoid conflicts.
      • Left Ctrl + U: Suspension mode, or Ride Control on wheel loaders
      • Left Alt + U: Suspension window
      • Left Ctrl + Left Alt + Up / Down arrow: Manual height while held
