FS25 Mud System Physics V1.4.0.0

Mud System Physics is an advanced Farming Simulator 25 physics mod that changes the way equipment responds to soil during rainy weather. Dynamic dirt, moisture and terrain effects are added to influence vehicle behavior and the condition of fields.

Features

  • Wheel behavior
  • Surface grip
  • Visual effects
  • Vehicle cross-country ability
  • Condition of fields and soil
  • Tire puncture system
  • Tire pressure system

Humidity is used to calculate dirt in real time. Wheels may slip, lose their grip or become stuck in mud, with heavier equipment facing a greater risk of getting stuck.

Mud has different behavior depending on the type of field soil. Plowed fields have the highest viscosity. In deep mud, vegetation can also be removed optionally.

The game menu provides settings for customizing the mod:

  • Turn the mud system on or off
  • Strength of the viscosity effect
  • Influence of rain
  • Visual effects
  • Removal of vegetation
  • More than 20 different knobs and switches

I prohibit using the mod code outside the system, as well as distributing it to other sites not via the author’s link.

Changelog

V1.4.0.0

  • The mod settings have been moved to a separate folder in modSettings. Previously, they were simply saved in modSettings. After the first load and save, you can delete the files modSettingsMudSystemPhysics.xml and MudSystemPhysicsHUD.xml, and also MudSystemPhysicsNotices.xml if it was present.
  • In local moisture mode, water (puddles) now appears in low-lying areas. The more it rains, the more puddles there will be. After the rain, the puddles gradually dry up.
  • Do not use other flooding mods together with this mod, to avoid burdening the game with unnecessary processes and encountering visual issues.
  • Local moisture mode has a much greater impact on performance. On large maps, FPS drops may occur during local moisture calculations. Decide whether to play with local moisture based on your system. All of this can be enabled in the settings.
  • Melting snow can also accumulate water in low-lying areas. Puddles can freeze and thaw again. Everything depends on the weather and temperatures.
  • The drying speed of soil on hills and slopes has been reworked in local moisture mode. The overall drying speed has been increased by approximately 2 times, and from May to September, an additional multiplier of 2 is applied to these values for faster drying during summer.
  • Optimization of the landscape and local mode processing code.
  • FS25_realTireWear.zip by CobraModding contains stolen code presented as their own. You will not be able to play properly with it; delete it. It lowers your FPS. Use the original FS25_Reifenverschleiss.zip mod by duestereLegende instead, or do not use either of them at all.
  • ATTENTION: Puddle formation with moisture mode enabled differs from when the mode is disabled and is a simplified version. Puddles are smaller and dry faster, while with local moisture mode, much more depends on the local moisture parameters themselves.

V1.3.9.0

  • xXTennesieXx (French translation)
  • Prolonged wheelspin or a sharp turn tears up grass outside fields, leaving a small patch of cultivated soil.
  • When the turf is torn up, a short burst of dirt comes out from under the wheel.
  • A toggle has been added under “General” → “Turf damage”, enabled by default.

V1.3.8.0

  • Fixed slow buildup of dirt in fields.
