FS25 Animal Food Calculator V1.2.0.1
Animal Food Calculator, also known as AFC, gives you an overview of animal consumption, production and selling prices in FS25. Depending on the settings you select, it can show animal data and scale the inputs and outputs used in the game.
AFC does not change animal consumption, production, prices, shearing times or husbandry capacities by itself. These values stay as they are until you intentionally activate or modify the relevant AFC options.
Features
- Input and output display: The animal menu directly shows the quantities your animals consume and produce with AFC.
- Food, water, straw, milk, manure, slurry, wool, eggs or goat milk may be displayed, depending on the animal type, husbandry and active mods.
- This information supports estimates for supplies, storage, feeding plans and production quantities.
- AFC works with the animal data that is actually available and shows only values that are appropriate for the selected husbandry and animal type.
- Animal Value Advisor: The animal overview shows when your animals reach their best selling price through AFC.
- – X means: the best selling price will be reached in X months.
- TOP means: the animal is currently within the best price range.
- +X means: the animal is already X months past the best price range.
- – 6 = 6 months until the best price.
- TOP = the optimal selling range has been reached.
- +4 = 4 months beyond the best selling range.
- Price plateaus are supported. When an animal keeps the same highest selling price for several months, the complete period is marked as TOP.
- The Animal Value Advisor uses the reference source that is active. Switching between Map, Custom, Basegame or AnimalPackage changes the purchase prices, selling prices, transport costs and displayed best selling time accordingly.
- Reference sources: For display, calculation, scaling and animal prices, AFC can read animal values from several sources.
- Basegame: The animal values used by AFC come from the base game.
- Map: AFC reads the animal values from the map currently being played, provided that the map supplies its own
animals.xml. - AnimalPackage: AFC uses the values from
FS25_AnimalPackage_vanillaEditionby BavarianRedneck. While the AnimalPackage is active, its animal types and values are processed accordingly. - Custom: AFC reads its own
animals.xmldirectly from the mod. This option is for players who want to change animal values without modifying the map or other mods. - AFC verifies whether a reference source corresponds with the animal SubTypes on the map being played. References that are incompatible are not offered when a map has its own animals or uses different SubTypes.
- The Custom reference appears only when it contains every SubType from the map. If entries do not match, the Map reference stays as the default values.
- Optional scaling: The actual in-game inputs and outputs can optionally be scaled by AFC. You must deliberately choose this feature in the AFC settings.
- Scaling lets you play in a more relaxed way, handle things more realistically, balance bigger farms more effectively, get more use from longer months, or raise or lower consumption and production.
- Basegame scaling: AFC adds no extra scaling. It uses the selected reference source without calculating another factor, so the multiplier is effectively 1.0.
- Auto scaling: AFC scales automatically according to the selected days per month. With more days per month, animals can consume and produce more throughout the month.
- Manual scaling: AFC uses only the multiplier you select. The days per month are not added automatically.
- Hybrid scaling: AFC uses both systems together. Values follow the selected days per month and are then additionally adjusted with your own multiplier.
- Custom animal values: The mod contains its own
animals.xml. Through the Custom reference source, this file can provide custom reference values for consumption, production and animal prices. - According to the animal type, the Custom file may include values for food, water, straw, milk, manure, slurry, wool, eggs, goat milk, purchase price, selling price and transport costs.
- With Custom selected as the reference, consumption, production and animal prices make up one shared AFC balancing profile. The Animal Value Advisor also uses the Custom prices in this case.
Compatible with:
- EnhancedAnimalSystem
FS25_AnimalPackage_vanillaEdition
When EnhancedAnimalSystem is used, AFC considers supported additional logic, including lactation factors, so its display and calculations correspond more closely to the extended animal behavior.
