FS25 Realistic tie-down straps V1.0.0.0
Realistic Tension Belts makes tension belts in Farming Simulator 25 secure vehicles on trailers and transport platforms more realistically. At the belt’s position, the vehicle is measured according to its real shape, including tires, bodywork, and the collision geometry already present.
Features
- At the exact belt position, the vehicle’s cross-section is calculated for that vehicle.
- The calculation uses the actual geometry rather than a basic rectangular shape.
- As a result, belts pass through vehicle bodies or attachments much less often.
- Tire calculations are improved through tire radius, tire width, wheel offset, dual-wheel configurations, tread, and sidewalls.
- Instead of cutting through tires, the belt runs around them.
- Vehicle collisions are checked from above as well as from the sides.
- More precise tire calculations replace general wheel collisions.
- Vehicle components that are hidden or not rendered are left out.
- Invisible effect geometry is prevented from unnecessarily obstructing the belt’s route.
- The shortest and tightest route between the ratchet and hook is selected for the belt.
- The distance between the belt and the vehicle surface is included in the calculation.
- This reduces belts floating in the air or being placed higher than necessary.
- After tensioning, the belt holds the vehicle securely on the transport platform.
- Vehicles made of multiple parts are supported in full.
- Sliding and swaying while transporting are reduced.
- The securing mechanism stays active for as long as the strap is tensioned.
- Wood, logs, bales, and pallets still use the standard GIANTS system.
- The new calculations are mainly intended for vehicles and machinery.
- Calculations run only while a strap is attached or tensioned.
- There are no continuous per-frame calculations.
- Multiplayer is supported.
- No GIANTS scripts are replaced.
- Vehicle XML files do not need to be modified.
- Vehicle mods work without requiring custom adjustments.
Technical Limitation
How accurately the vehicle body is detected depends on the collision geometry defined by the individual vehicle mod.
When a modder has not provided suitable collision geometry for particular vehicle parts, the mod cannot detect that shape precisely.
Tires are processed separately using their existing wheel data.
