FS25 BUG ModManager V4.0

BUG ModManager V4.0 is a Mod Manager created with assistance from Gemini and Claude. It was developed and tested for FS25, and it should work with every Farming Simulator game using this structure.

In technical terms, the program uses the storeData data in modDesc.xml together with the XML files found in the storeItems folder.

Features

  • Choose the folder that contains the MODs from the menu on the left.
  • Select “Load Files” and wait until the files appear in the list. Once the mods have been listed, a warning will be shown. Select “OK” to proceed.
  • Every mod includes ACTIVE and EDIT options. ACTIVE shows the current status.
  • Selecting ACTIVE once disables the mod and changes the extension of its ZIP file to .zip_BAK. The mod remains visible in Mod Manager, although the game has it disabled.
  • Close and reopen the program to view disabled mods and activate them again.
  • EDIT displays the XML files in storeItems inside modDesc.xml. These are the in-game store items belonging to the mod.
  • The Name, Brand, Lifespan, Price, and Power status of store items are editable.
  • After one of these fields is changed, SAVE becomes active. Selecting SAVE applies the relevant field change to the mod.
  • The input fields have no controls. If a special character or letter is entered where a number is needed, the game may ignore the value or the mod may break.
  • The ACTIVE button converts the relevant storeItem field in the storeItems section of modDesc.xml into a comment line in the code. The game store will then no longer see or display that file, and the original state can be restored.
  • When a mod has several store items, single items can be removed from the store. For instance, a mod containing a tractor and a trailer can have either the tractor or the trailer removed.
  • After every operation in the EDIT window, use SAVE.
  • EDIT is available when the storeItems section is present in modDesc.xml. If that section is absent, the code is deactivated.
  • Two languages are provided. Use the top right menu to change the default language to Turkish or English.

  • The main menu now has a filter that shows only mods with added notes.
  • Performance and Speed Optimizations (Freezing Issues Fixed): Heavy disk operations such as saving, backing up, opening/compressing ZIP files, and editing details of large mod files will no longer cause the application screen to drop to “Unresponsive”. Additionally, the mouse cursor will show the waiting status.
  • Most crashes due to unexpected errors have been prevented. The application will no longer crash completely when searching on ModHub, switching between categories, pressing the refresh button, or when the internet connection is lost. In such cases, the application will continue to work safely and will show the error in the status bar or in an alert box.
