FS25 Realistic Livestock RM V1.4.2.0

Realistic Livestock replaces the basic animal groups in FS25 with animals that are tracked one by one. Every animal has its own genetics, breeding data, diseases and production traits. This maintained edition is based on Arrow-kb’s Realistic Livestock mod.

Each animal receives an individual identity and has separately recorded genetics, health and production. Breeding passes genetics to the next generation, diseases may spread and need treatment, and production depends on the traits of the individual animal. The dedicated RL Menu handles the herds, with tabs for viewing, trading, moving, filtering and automation.

Changelog

V1.4.2.0

Version 1.4.2.0 brings Beans and Alpacas DLC support.

For players who own the Beans and Alpacas DLC, alpacas are now a complete animal type and Brahman are added to the cattle. Alpacas produce fleece, may be led from their shed with a leash and can be sheared by hand or by the animal worker. This update also repairs the Animals page, renaming and ridden horses in game version 1.25. Saved straws, dewars and dealer farms remain assigned to the right animal type when a DLC or mod is added or removed.

  • Alpacas are a new animal type from the Beans and Alpacas DLC, with ear tags, monitors, fleece and happiness.
  • Leading and shearing let you lead alpacas with the leash and shear them manually, or let the animal worker do both jobs.
  • Brahman cattle are a new Beans and Alpacas DLC breed with ear tags and monitors.
  • Highland cattle adults now have ear tags and monitors, while bulls have nose rings.
  • Game version 1.25 fixes cover the Animals page, animal descriptions, renaming, ridden horses in singleplayer and multiplayer, and horse care by the animal worker.
  • The Trade Animals permission now prevents farm members without it from marking, monitoring, renaming or castrating animals.
  • Swedish has been added as a new language, contributed by DSK-Modding.

Before updating Hof Bergmann with the Beans and Alpacas DLC, make a backup of your save. Existing alpacas may receive different colours and stats.

V1.4.1.0

Animals can now be vaccinated against some diseases through the Diseases dialog. Newborn animals from an immune mother begin protected, and footrot has been added for cattle, sheep and goats. Saved filters return on the trailer Transfer tab, starving animals lose health at a slower rate, and deaths from old age and accidents no longer increase when months are longer.

  • Vaccination in the Diseases dialog protects cattle from BRD, pigs from PED, sheep and goats from pulpy kidney, and cows and female goats from mastitis.
  • Protection from the mother means piglets, lambs and goat kids born to an immune mother begin life protected.
  • Footrot is a new disease for cattle, sheep and goats, and has treatment and a vaccine.
  • Trailer filters let you cycle saved filters on the Transfer tab, loading or unloading only the animals selected.
  • The Diseases dialog is clearer: the most urgent disease appears first, each row has a coloured icon, and treatment asks for confirmation before starting, resuming or stopping.
  • Health and death chances are fairer because starving animals lose health more slowly, good health genetics now provide help, and old-age and accident deaths no longer increase with more days per month.

V1.4.0.0

This update introduces the disease release. The disease system was rebuilt completely. An illness progresses day by day, can remain hidden before symptoms appear on harder settings, and follows one of five difficulty levels. Four diseases were added to the five already known, including colic, the first disease affecting horses. While symptoms are visible, a sick animal cannot be sold or sent to the butcher. It can instead be treated or culled in the Diseases dialog.

When updating an existing save, all disease records, immunity, incomplete treatments and CVM carriers are removed on the first load. The herd therefore starts healthy, and the Diseases setting changes to Normal, or to Off when diseases had been disabled.

  • Nine diseases are included: avian flu (HPAI), BRD, pulpy kidney and colic were added to mastitis, CVM, foot and mouth, PED and avian flu (LPAI).
  • On Hard and Very hard, a newly infected animal has a hidden phase and appears healthy for a time before symptoms become visible.
  • The five difficulty levels are Off, Easy, Normal, Hard and Very hard, and the Choose Diseases list can disable individual diseases.
  • Treat or cull: while symptoms are visible, a sick animal cannot be sold or butchered by you or the herdsman. The new Cull button removes it for a share of its value.
  • Illness affects more than milk yield, since growth, breeding, eggs, wool and manure also suffer while an animal is ill.

Before updating, note the following:

  • On first load, every disease infection, immunity, incomplete treatment and CVM carrier is cleared because the new disease records cannot read the old ones. The herd begins disease-free and CVM-free.
  • The Diseases setting becomes a difficulty level. An existing save is set to Normal, or Off when diseases were disabled. The Disease Chance setting has been removed.
  • A sick animal showing symptoms cannot be sold or taken to a butcher by you or the herdsman. A herdsman sell rule for animals with any disease now sells nothing, so disable it or change its filter.
  • Foot and mouth treatment now lasts one month like every other disease, rather than three months.
