FS25 Hyper Realistic Maintenance 2 V3.1.4.0
Hyper Realistic Maintenance 2 brings continuous mechanical simulation to every motorized vehicle in the saved game, from tractors, trucks and harvesters to cars. Engine wear, fluid condition, overheating, servicing and component failures now have real gameplay consequences.
The DEF Pack mod is recommended for simulating the new DEF systems. The DEF Mod Pack and Variable Tire Pressure mods can be used together without compatibility issues.
More translations are in development.
Features
- Five independent engine components are simulated: cylinder, piston, bearings, crankshaft and valves. They affect one another. Cylinder wear increases blow-by, contaminates the oil and speeds up further wear.
- Thermal simulation raises coolant temperature under load, while a degraded radiator can cause the engine to overheat.
- Oil level, oil contamination and coolant level are simulated. Fluids can be checked and need maintenance.
- The transmission simulation covers clutch, gearbox, turbo and battery/starter motor wear over time.
- Probabilistic failures rise sharply when the relevant component reaches approximately 35% wear. Critical overheating above 118 °C always occurs and is not luck-based.
- Tractors, trucks, harvesters and cars wear at different realistic rates.
- Actual power loss lowers the torque effectively available from the engine.
- A flat battery or worn starter motor may stop the engine from turning over, and an on-screen warning is shown.
- As the engine condition worsens, harvesters experience a real reduction in threshing efficiency.
- There are 10 maintenance items, such as engine oil, filters, hydraulic/transmission oil, coolant, grease and belts. Each has its own interval and a real farm cost, with costs automatically adjusted to the vehicle’s actual power.
- Ignored maintenance can increase wear by up to +120%.
- The vehicle HUD has 3 pages: overview, detailed engine diagnostics and maintenance status. Its position can be changed in the game Settings menu.
- The game’s repair screens in the shop, farm workshop and mobile workshop also carry out a complete HRM2 service.
- The mod works completely standalone.
- When the 4×4 Traction System mod is installed, both mods detect each other automatically. Driving with 4WD and differential lock adds a real extra effect to the transmission.
- Multiplayer has been significantly improved and tested on a real dedicated server.
- Maintenance progress is stored in the saved game.
Changelog
- V3.1.4.0
- HRM2 ULTRA is a complete rewrite. Every part is simulated like the real machine.
- Each machine is assembled from its real parts, including engine internals, injection, turbo, after-treatment EGR / DOC / DPF / SCR, cooling, electrics, transmission, hydraulics, PTO, brakes, steering, tracks and EV parts. Every part has its real service life, wears according to what the machine actually does and fails in its own way through 4 stages.
- Engine oil uses real chemistry, with viscosity, soot, fuel dilution, glycol, TBN and wear metals, as well as laboratory oil analysis.
- The thermal model includes thermostat, radiator fouling, boiling and ECU protection. In the game, warm-up is faster, at about 1 °C every 4 s at idle. When parked, the engine cools according to the game clock and needs about 1 hour to lose half its heat.
- Battery / alternator, glow plugs and cold starts are simulated, along with hot shutdown damage on turbos, passive, active and parked DPF regeneration, and DEF inducement.
- Machines with an ECU use J1939 fault codes. Older machines are diagnosed from smoke, noises and gauges.
- Workshop service packs are available for 500 / 1000 / 2000 / 3000 h, together with inspections, repairs, overhauls, parts quality with delivery times, dealer, mobile mechanic or do it yourself options, and opening hours.
- Using the game’s workshop “Repair” button starts a dealer job and opens the HRM2 window on the Workshop tab. It shows parts arrival, workshop work and when the machine will be ready, today or tomorrow at hh:mm.
- Workshop jobs and parts delivery use the game clock. Speeding up time, including with “Time speed – / +” in the HRM2 window, makes them finish sooner. Parked machines continue progressing.
- On-foot daily care includes a walk-around, greasing, draining the water separator, blowing out the radiator and air filter, and topping up fluids. The bar fills immediately after the care is completed.
- Workshop sounds include a ratchet during work, an impact wrench at the dealer, oil pouring, a grease gun and compressed air for blowing filters. These sounds can be switched off.
- Included fluids are DEF tanks of 5 000 / 10 000 / 15 000 L, 5 L engine oil 15W-40 pallets and hydraulic oil UTTO cans, 56 x 5 L. When topping up or changing oil yourself, a pallet near the machine is used first. Empty cans disappear.
- Implements and trailers are simulated too, including shares, tines, discs, knives, knotters, chains, PTO shafts, gearboxes, bearings and brakes. Worn tools increase the draught.
- Real machine hours are read under load. A 3000 h tractor is no longer like new. The hour meter appears on the instrument cluster and in Zasty HUD.
- The mod reads the 4×4 Traction System. Using 4×4 or diff locks wears differentials, final drives and the front drive shaft.
- There is realistic exhaust smoke, failure noise using the machine’s own sounds, brand reliability, used machines with hidden faults and a farm parts store.
- New windows lock the camera while open, and a separate instrument cluster has 16 warning lamps.
- Singleplayer, multiplayer and dedicated servers are supported.
- Keys, default:
Left Alt + M: Maintenance window, in the cab or on foot next to a machine.
Left Alt + N: Show / hide the instrument cluster. - These are the default keys. If one is already assigned by the game or another mod, go to Options > Controls and choose the key you prefer to avoid conflicts.
- V1.4.0.0
- The mod core was completely rebuilt from scratch.
- How you drive matters. Lugging the engine, stressing it while cold, shutting it down with a hot turbo, overloading, wheelspin, old oil and overheating wear the relevant parts and raise the breakdown risk.
- There are 26 progressive breakdowns in 4 stages, from minor to critical, with realistic symptoms: power loss, black/blue/white smoke, unstable idle, sputtering, engine stalling, difficult starting, clutch slipping, leaks, charging failure and limp mode.
- Dashboard warning lights cover engine, oil, temperature, battery, fuel, transmission, hydraulics, brakes and chassis. Breakdowns and component condition trigger them.
- Battery charge and health are tracked separately. The mod also includes real-time engine warm-up, turbo cooling and oil ageing.
- A new “Driving and stress” HUD page and driving tips are included, and both can be disabled.
- In the Workshop, the “Parts” button offers Used / Aftermarket / OEM / Premium options. The choice changes price and initial wear for breakdowns and servicing. The workshop also shows cost per breakdown stage, factory warranty with warning, brand reliability and detailed inspection that discovers hidden breakdowns.
- Settings are found at ESC → Settings → General: difficulty, engine lifespan, thermal speed, parts, warranty, tips and breakdowns on/off.
- DPF is available only on tractors with DEF/AdBlue.
- The dashboard blue bar and sale price represent HRM2 condition. The native temperature gauge displays HRM2 temperature.
- AutoDrive and Courseplay are handled as the game’s AI.
- German translation, thanks to robster76. Fleet and Workshop banners are available in EN, DE and PT-BR.
- Fixed, multiplayer: the server runs the simulation and synchronizes it with all players.
- In Workshop MP, immobilization no longer remains stuck or resets after leaving and rejoining. The
hrm2ClearBusycommand is available as a workaround. - Breakdowns selected in the Workshop were never repaired.
