FS25 Soil Deformation Save V1.0.0.0
After saving and loading, wheel ruts, tyre tread marks and plow furrows remain where they were made. They stay on the fields until the soil is worked again.
Features
- Marks made by every wheel on the ground are remembered, including tractors, implements such as disc harrows and rollers, trailers, harvesters, base game vehicles and modded vehicles.
- The depth of each wheel track is saved as actual terrain deformation, then rebuilt in the soil when the game is loaded.
- Tyre tread impressions and furrows made by the plow are also saved and restored.
- There is no time limit. Marks remain until the soil is worked again.
How marks disappear
- Plows, cultivators, disc harrows, subsoilers, packers, rollers, ridge formers and seed drills level the ground in the area where they work.
- Each plow pass covers the furrows left by previous passes.
- Direct drills do not work the soil and therefore do not level ruts. They remove old furrows only.
Installation and use
- Place the zip file in the game’s mods folder without unpacking it, then activate the mod in your savegame.
- No settings or menus are required, and no messages appear on screen. The mod runs in the background.
- It can be added to an existing savegame, but marks created before installation are unknown to it. Recording begins as soon as you enable the mod.
- After loading, marks begin rebuilding a few seconds after the map starts. The process is gradual and starts with marks nearest to the camera.
- The data is saved in
soilDeformationSave.xmlinside your savegame folder.
Good to know
- Only farmland is recorded, not roads. Furrows are not restored in places where crops have been sown since.
- Restored dents may be less noticeable and shallower than fresh ruts made by the game itself, particularly on maps using a coarse terrain grid, for example 1 m.
- The mod works in single player and on the server / host. Clients joining a multiplayer game do not see restored marks. In multiplayer, the mod has to be used as a zip file.
- If the number of marks becomes extreme, the oldest marks are smoothed out first because of the memory limit.
