FS25 Increased Baler Pickup Width V1.0
This mod adds more forgiveness when baling without turning the baler into a 30 foot wide vacuum cleaner. It adjusts the baler’s real pickup work area so material can be collected outside the physical width of the pickup.
There are already mods that claim to increase pickup or working width. During testing, though, I found that some of them only change the listed working width or work area values. They do not consistently expand the actual area where the baler collects material from the ground. On the balers I tested, the machine still had to be almost directly over the grass or windrow before it would pick anything up.
I originally tested this at a much larger width and it worked, but it felt far too aggressive. This version was scaled back so baling is still easier while remaining reasonably believable.
Features
- Adds approximately 5 meters of total pickup width
- Adds about 2.5 meters to each side of the baler
- Works with the baler’s actual material pickup area
- Works with grass, hay, straw, and other normal baleable windrow materials
- Designed for base game balers and should also work with most normally configured modded balers
- Does not change bale size, capacity, speed, or production
- Does not make the pickup ridiculously wide
