FS25 Foliage Wind Scale V1.0
Dynamically adjusts how much of an effect wind has on all foliage types, including crops, grass, trees, bushes, and more. The multiplier can be adjusted in Game Settings; the default is 1x.
Features
- At 1x, there is no change.
- Available multipliers are 1.5x, 2x, 2.5x, and 3x.
- On sunny days when the wind speed is low, there may not be much difference even at higher multipliers because this mod does not alter individual weather settings.
- If a weather setting has a low wind speed, multiplying it will have an effect, but it will be subtle.
- Cloudy or rainy weather has a higher base wind speed, so the difference will be more noticeable.
- At higher multipliers, crops and trees move significantly more during tornadoes.
- At 2x, foliage is a little more lively on nice weather days and moves around more on bad weather days.
- This mod is a companion to Cloud Time Dilation, which decouples cloud and cloud shadow movement from timescale so clouds only move in real time, avoiding the cloud shadow strobing effect at higher timescales. Cloud Time Dilation is not required for this mod to work.
- Other mods that alter crop or foliage movement would not work properly with Cloud Time Dilation. This mod is 100% compatible with it.
- This mod works differently from other mods and provides more granular control over foliage movement.
- This mod will not work with other mods that adjust wind or foliage movement, such as Crop Waving Boost.
- Compatibility with mods such as Dynamic Wind has not been fully tested.
- This mod might work with some weather mods as long as they do not alter wind speed or
windupdater. - The mod is essentially final, but it has not been tested with every mod.
- If the mod does not appear to be working, use cloudy or rainy weather because those have the higher wind speeds.
